Connecting Students, Parents, Faculty and the Community
Desert Chapel Christian School (DC) is a small private faith-based school in the center of Palm Springs, California established in 1980. The school needed and updated web presence to increase awareness in the community as an educational institution providing a high-level, accredited education for students K-12.
How we helped
The timely flow of information from the administration to parents and students was critical. By moving the website to a database Drupal site, DC gained both the ability to edit and add content easily as well as rapidly, without the need for highly skilled tech administrators to make updates. The news feed now leaped into new, faster technology with Twitter feed updates and interactive calendars paired with the nationally-recognized MaxPreps sports system. Anyone could get quick information about how to enroll, visit or what's happening on campus.
How it stuck
The site has been a massive success. Since it's launch in April 2013 the site has continued to grow and thrive, averaging approximately 1250 hits per month in the busiest months, with 35% of that traffic new users to the site. The website has helped the school communicate with existing parents, the community, and new parents on a whole new level. A number of new students have been added for the 2013-14 year and have credited the website for their enrollment.
